Summer Wrap Up!

Holy Crap...I just looked at the calendar and it's September 13th already.  Where in the heck did this summer go??

I think he ate sweet corn everyday for three weeks!

As usual, we were busy busy busy (I think I'm sounding like a broken record) and I can not believe that I didn't do one post in August. Between Weddings, Water Parks, Sand in the City, Lake Trips and just plain life the summer really got away from us. So here's a quick wrap up.

In July my cousin Lindsay got married. It was so great to see that side of the family.  We don't get to see them very often so when we do it's so nice! Even got to see my cousin Richie and part of his family. I don't think I've seen my cousin Richie or his family since I was in elementary school.

We took Cash on his first trip to Wasserbahn in the Amana's for my step-niece Ashley's birthday. To any or all of my friend's with little ones, please please take them there.  It's cheap, right down the street (well kind of) and it's PERFECT for them.  Cash enjoyed it so very much!!

Cash got to go for his first trip downtown for Sand in the City. Uncle Bob's EPIC group borrowed one of his books, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and made an awesome sculpture.  They even won an award...for the 'Tallest'. We thought it was awesome!

Lovin' the band....just like daddy does!

Then finally over the Labor Day weekend we took one last trip south to the Lake. It was nice to spend a few extra days there and great to be there when it wasn't so busy. Mom and Dad got to head out to 'Nellyfest' with they're friends and had a great time. I'd love to be able to tell you the show was great, but we didn't really see any of it. The boat 'time' was fabulous though :)

We took Cash down to 'Dogpatch' for a trip and went to the scurvy Arcade, pretty sure that's the last time we'll be doing that!

Oh and we're very excited to report that the basement is FINISHED! We had carpet laid while we were at the Lake and furniture came today. We're so excited for the extra space. More on that soon (I promise).

Hey, one can dream...right!!
